Who we are

Blanchard Valley Health System (BVHS) is a non-profit, integrated regional health system based in Findlay, Ohio. Governed by a community board of trustees representing business, education, law, medicine and finance, BVHS oversees all operations of its member organizations and is one of the largest employers in its micropolitan area, employing more than 3,000 people. BVHS serves an eight-county region in northwest Ohio and traces its roots to the founding of the Findlay Home for Friendless Women and Children in 1891; the present system emerged after the 1995 merger of Blanchard Valley Hospital and Bluffton Hospital and the organization was renamed BVHS in 2007. In addition to Blanchard Valley and Bluffton hospitals, BVHS operates a retirement community, home health and hospice services, medical equipment, a regional cancer center, urgent-care and wound-care clinics and numerous specialty practices. Its service lines include behavioral health, cancer care, cardiology, emergency and trauma care, home health, hospice, imaging, minimally invasive and robotic surgery, orthopedics, pediatrics, rehabilitation and women's health.
