Who we are
Peer Foods Group is a privately held processor of smoked and roasted meats with origins in Chicago meat markets and a packing plant built in 1925. Rebranded as Peer Food Products in 1944, the company now specializes in bacon, ham, sausage, and other smoked and roasted meats. It offers R&D services and multiple cooking methods, including natural smoking, roasting, water-bath and steam cooking, curing, and customized slicing and dicing, serving both retail and food-service customers from facilities in Chicago and Indiana.
