Postum is a roasted grain beverage first created in 1895 by C.W. Post as a caffeine-free alternative to coffee. Made from roasted wheat bran, wheat, molasses, and chicory, it became popular during World War II when coffee was rationed. The brand was discontinued in 2007 but revived in 2012 when Eliza’s Quest Foods acquired the rights and reintroduced the original recipe.
