The Krusteaz Company, formerly known as Continental Mills, is a family-owned business that produces baking mixes, flour blends and other packaged foods. Founded in Seattle in 1932, the company created the original Krusteaz €˜just add water' pie crust mix and later introduced popular pancake, muffin and cookie mixes. Today, Krusteaz brands include pancakes, waffles, pancakes mixes, cornbread, cookies, brownies and baking accessories, as well as the licensed Ghirardelli, Red Lobster and Hawaiian bread mixes. The company operates manufacturing plants in Washington state and Tennessee and remains family owned. It focuses on convenient, easy-to-prepare products made with quality ingredients.
