The TW Garner Food Company, commonly known as Garner Food Company, is a family-owned condiment manufacturer best known for Texas Pete hot sauce. Founded in the 1920s in Winston-Salem, North Carolina, the business began with a Garner family barbecue sauce recipe. Texas Pete hot sauce named to evoke cowboy swagger became the flagship product, offering a mild yet flavorful heat from aged red peppers, vinegar and spices. Over time, the company expanded into hotter pepper sauces, wing sauces, honey mustard, salsa and tortilla chips under the Green Mountain Gringo brand. Garner's products are distributed nationally through supermarkets, restaurants and foodservice distributors. The company remains headquartered in Winston-Salem and continues to be owned and operated by the Garner family.
