WaterAid is an international non-profit organisation working to make clean water, decent toilets and good hygiene normal for everyone everywhere. Since 1981 WaterAid has partnered with local governments and communities in Africa, Asia, the Middle East and Latin America to drill wells, install rainwater harvesting systems, build toilets and promote hygiene education. WaterAid America, headquartered in New York City, leads fundraising, advocacy and program support from U.S. donors and corporate partners. The charity emphasises sustainable, community-led solutions, gender equality and climate resilience, and campaigns for governments to prioritise water and sanitation. WaterAid has reached tens of millions of people and continues to fight the global water crisis.
